DFM Wellness Alliance

DFM Wellness Alliance is owned and managed by Domonique F. McCord, A.M., LCSW. Founded in 2010 with over 10 years experience in providing clinical services in nonprofit settings, Domonique embarked of journey to holistically build individual and community capacity.

Domonique F. McCord

Domonique F. McCord has a passion for helping others reach their potential. She believes that partnerships build bridges toward healing the mind, body, and spirit. As a Licensed Clinical Social worker, Domonique understands the interconnectedness of individuals communities and society at large. She partners with clients to develop holistic ways of developing and utilizing practical skills to cope with life’s challenges.
Prior to founding DFM Wellness Alliance, Domonique worked as a Coordinated School Health Specialist for Chicago Public Schools. Her previous clinical experience includes serving as Director of Community Programs and an Affiliate Therapist for the Family Institute at Northwestern University. She has maintained a practice and supervised clinicians for over five years. Additionally, she served as a Master Practitioner for the University of Chicago’s School of Social Service Administration and currently serves as an adjunct instructor for Northeastern Illinois University and Dominican University Social Work Departments.
Domonique F. McCord is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She holds a Bachelor of Science from Northwestern University and her Master of Social Work from the University of Chicago.She is currently completing her certification to become a Depression Specialist.

Daviel Thomas

Daviel Thomas believes that change happens when people are given the guidance that they need to draw on their own strengths and realize their potential to live fulfilling, happy lives.
She provides an environment of compassion and support to help individuals and families overcome obstacles to move forward and thrive. Daviel has more than 17 years experience working with children, young adults, individuals and families using an eclectic approach tailored to the unique needs and treatment goals of each person. She has extensive experience in a variety of settings and with diverse clients, including both long-term and brief interventions. Daviel is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
She holds a Bachelor and Master of Social Work from Jane Addams College of Social Work – University of Illinois at Chicago.

Jennifer L. Allen

Jennifer L. Allen believes in collaborating with her clients in order to provide a strengths-based, person-centered approach to therapy.
She brings over 17 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families across the developmental spectrum from a wide-range of clinical settings. She is culturally competent and sensitive to the particular needs of each individual and strives to assist clients through life’s challenges by helping them gain tools and skills for reaching their goals for treatment and success in their everyday lives.
She holds a Bachelor of Science from Illinois State University and a Master of Social Work from Loyola University Chicago. .

Sheina Dixon

Sheina believes in meeting people where they are and partnering with them to reach their goals. She has faith in people having ahealthy and balanced mind, body and soul. She considers one’s thoughts and behaviors to be interconnected and that leaves opportunity for growth in any person. Sheina has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Northern Illinois University (NIU) and Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Concordia University. She has experience working with adults, adolescents, and children withan array of mental health challenges. As a recent graduate, she brings a fresh perspective to the field of counseling.

Marsha Ash

Marsha Ash is DFM 2019 student intern who counsels children, adolescence, and adult. She has experience in higher education, substance abuse counseling, and service families in need. Marsha has earned her Bachelors Degree in Psychology in 2015 from Chicago State University. She is currently completing her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Concordia University Chicago. Marsha works as a Family Care Coordinator in Early Intervention where she service children who present delays in speech, developmental, sensory, and physical areas. Marsha is driven to help others achieve wellness, teaching positive coping skills, and showing empathy. Marsha theoretical approach is Cognitive Behavioral Techniques and knowledgeable in Psychodynamic theory. Marsha is a member of the Illinois Counseling Association (ICA) and the Association of Child and Adolescents Counseling in Illinois (ACACI).
